About Us
Who Are We?
We are led exclusively by people who have been impacted by the War on Drugs. We are a group of organizers who use drugs, who are in recovery, have navigated the criminal justice system, are street-based and/or are survivors of violence. We prioritize folks with this “lived expertise” for involvement in our organization.
We believe all humans deserve access to food, housing, and medical supplies to reduce the harms of drug use, community care, and purpose.

2024 Funding
Cochise Harm Reduction’s diverse funding portfolio demonstrates our commitment to sustainable operations and community support. In 2024, our organization’s financial resources were primarily derived from three key areas: grants, contracts, and donations/merchandise sales.
National grants and government contracts form a significant portion of our funding, enabling us to expand our reach and impact. Local and state grants, and nonprofit contracts provide stable support for our ongoing programs. The generosity of individual donors and revenue from merchandise sales contribute to our grassroots efforts, allowing us to remain responsive to community needs.
