This month we want to highlight our ongoing partnership with Echoing Hope Ranch! We have been getting coolers full of fresh chard, kale, and lettuce every week now. These greens get cooked into our meals or prepared as salads to hand out to our folks
Many of our participants depend on this regular allotment of food each week and it is so exciting to know that the ingredients that Dan whips up into the most delicious and healthy meals are farm to table.
CHR was awarded a Local Food Purchasing Agreement Contract through Pinnacle Prevention in December. This purchasing agreement covers regular produce purchasing from Echoing Hope, Sky Island Mushrooms, and the Local Coop in McNeal! We love that we are able to support local farmers and our unique, local food economy.
Echoing Hope Ranch has a large ranch in Hereford where they are organically growing produce for CHR and Palominas Schools.
The organization’s mission is focused on “Growth, discovery and lifelong learning in safe and respectful homes and communities”. Echoing Hope Ranch was founded in 2009 by families concerned about ensuring happy, productive lives for their adolescent and adult loved ones with autism.
