Doing it in the Desert + INHSU HepC Intervention Symposium

CHR is thrilled to announce our participation in the upcoming DOING IT IN THE DESERT Symposium, presented by our partners VEN Centers and AZ Liver Health.

This event brings together harm reduction advocates, healthcare providers, and community organizations for a day of powerful connection and learning.

CHR Executive Director and Founder, Lu Funk, will be facilitating a roundtable discussion at the INHSU Hepatitis C Intervention Symposium at 9:30am October 3rd at the Sheraton Phoenix Downtown, sharing insights and leading conversation around harm reduction practice in the desert Southwest. This free, satellite symposium is focused on practical innovations in hepatitis C care—spanning point-of-care testing, telehealth, peer support, case finding, and more.

On October 4th, the second annual Doing It In The Desert (DID25) Viral Hepatitis & STI Elimination Summit delivers real-world strategies for hepatitis C elimination, HIV/STI prevention, and innovative models of care. The agenda features voices from tribal health, corrections, mobile outreach, and more.

These events offer a chance to connect, collaborate, and keep driving forward progress in harm reduction and infectious disease elimination. We hope to see you there alongside so many leaders in the field! Register for the INHSU Symposium or for Doing It In The Desert Summit with free registration code didCOMP!_2025
