Cochise Harm Reduction’s Outreach Program is a lifeline for the unhoused communities in Cochise County. Every week, we deliver over 300 meals to homeless camps, disabled folks, and people who use drugs. We remain the only outreach program in Cochise County that delivers regular, weekly meals, supplies, and resources to these communities.
In 2024 to date, we have connected over 660 individuals with camping supplies: so they can rest their head and shelter from the extreme high-desert elements. We have distributed over 14,000 meals, over 3,000 hygiene bags, and over 4000 first aid kits. We have distributed 10,000 doses of narcan, an opioid overdose reversal medication, to prevent overdose fatality in our community. We have provided over 700 individuals with referrals and linkage to care: housing services, medical services, treatment, and support with vital documents.
Please join us in making sure this life-saving work can continue. We are going into the winter months and need more sleeping bags, jackets, and blankets to ensure those living outside this winter can survive. Here are just a few of our success stories and testimonials and your support ensures that these continue. The health of a community is only so good as the health of our most vulnerable’s well-being.
December 3rd, this #GivingTuesday, your support saves lives. Your donation creates hope, saves lives, and strengthens our community. Give now and receive a tax credit with code 22707.
