CHR joined the Justice and Care event at Cochise Health and Social Services in Bisbee on October 8. This was a free community event that was focused on care, connection, and increasing access to services. The event offered on-site support for attendees with non-felony warrants, allowing 10 people to have their warrants quashed.
The attendees also had access to medical services such as vaccines and rapid HIV and HCV testing, and other Community Based Organizations (CBOs) provided Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) services, support with emergency and transitional housing, nutritional support, and behavioral health resources and services. CHR was proud to offer harm reduction education, supplies, food, and judgement-free conversation along so many committed partners in the community.
