The Festival of Lights celebration in Bisbee kicks off the holiday season on Friday, November 24, from 2-8 p.m. in historic Old Bisbee. The event features entertainment from the Bisbee Community Chorus and the duo Loco Mundi, along with fun games for families, including an egg and spoon race and a sack race.
Santa will make a special appearance around 5:30 p.m., and local retailers will offer Black Friday sales. The following day, the Bisbee Saturday Market will host Santa for free photos and accept donations of warm clothing and blankets for the nonprofit Cochise Harm Reduction, which supports the homeless community. The market will also feature aerial performers and a reminder to shop local, as “no one at Walmart does a happy dance about your purchase, but folks who are artisans and artists sure do.”
