Cochise Harm Reduction 2024 Impact Report – A Year of Progress and Compassion
Our annual impact report highlights the significant impact Cochise Harm Reduction (CHR) made in 2024. Through our grassroots efforts, we continued to support individuals in Cochise County with essential harm reduction services, supplies, and advocacy.
Here’s what we accomplished together:
–17,152 meals distributed
–7,165 engagements in harm reduction services
–162,931 syringes distributed
–18 zip codes in Cochise County served
–11,316 Naloxone/Narcan doses distributed
–100 onsite HIV/HCV rapid tests conducted
–488 new participants welcomed
–769 individuals received camping supplies
–121 overdose reversals reported
–835 referrals to other services
–189 substance use disorder (SUD) treatment referrals
–161 peer navigation engagements
Additionally, CHR collaborated with the Legacy Foundation and Cochise County Health & Social Services to conduct a Point-in-Time (PIT) Survey of outreach program participants. This data is being analyzed with the Arizona Department of Health Services to inform our strategic planning. The survey aimed to elevate the voices and experiences of those most impacted by overdose and drug policy in our community.
The report also features demographic insights, including race, age, gender, and drug-of-choice statistics, presented through engaging graphs. Together, these numbers tell the story of CHR’s commitment to meeting community needs while advocating for systemic change.
At Cochise Harm Reduction, we’re not just providing services – we’re building a movement. Join us in creating a more just, compassionate, and equitable world for all.
